Brazil Visa Information
To enter Brazil, U.S. and Canadian Citizens must obtain a Tourist or a Volunteer/Cultural Visa. Brazilian consulates will process visa applications at any one of the Brazilian Consulates if the applicant applies in person. You will be required to provide a) a valid passport (for at least 6 months prior to its expiration date); b) a signed visa application form; c) one recent photograph; d) a photocopy of your round trip ticket to Brazil; and e) a fee Ð U.S. citizens are charged a processing fee of approximately $110. Normally a tourist visa will be issued in 2-10* business days and are generally valid for 90 days from the first entry, renewable for another period of up to 90 days by the Brazilian Federal Police. Please be sure to contact your program manager BEFORE applying for your visa due to frequent changes in the application process. It is recommended that you use a visa expeditor, and begin your application process within 90 days of your program start date as processing times vary between different Consulates.

Citizens of the following countries do not need visas when entering Brazil for tourism or business purposes (up to 90 days):
Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Switzerland, Thailand, The Netherlands and Uruguay.
